Discharges as I carried it back and forth to Church using it for Powerpoint training plans and CBT training every week (I am a bi-vocational pastor). My kids also both used it for their college presentations through two bachelors and almost two masters degrees. Until last week I was on the original 6T473 battery (the one good one the world experienced apparently) as well as the original Dell 130 watt power adapter.Hp pavilion dv4 battery The power adapter had been wrapped up and carried so often that the wire to the computer was permanently internally distorted and looked like a cork screw the full length, finally breaking internally where it leaves the power adapter last week. When purchased, I had customized that 5160 and spent a lot of cash doing so ($2500 back then). So, thinking my power supply is all I need I bought another new Dell same exact model power adapter and the blinking lights start up. I had experienced the blinking lights scenario two or three times for just a few minutes over the course of my many years. Faithful and satisfied customer that I am, Hp pavilion dv5 battery, I then assumed battery trouble (it was extremely old) and ordered another 6T473 Dell 12 cell battery. Once the newly received battery discharged I got the same blinking lights and no charging (25% available on arrival from UPS).

The 5160 will not power up without the battery either, possibly never did - not a thing I ever needed to test. I am absolutely certain that this is a motherboard problem, not a battery adapter or battery internal circuits problem on my unit. Hp pavilion dv7 battery That said,Dell Inspiron E1505 Battery, I can't really complain about my 5160 because, while my big heavy 5160 was being dragged all over the countryside to church and college campuses in rain and cold and heat for hours at a time it was only in such heavy use because our four other laptops (by everyone from E-Machines to Gateway and HP) had all died within two years of purchase. My Dell served me well, but I admit I will not buy another with all I see going on in this blog and a host of others.
