In the long history of 24 Hours of Le Mans, Porsche is a respetable name to remember. With16 overall wins, it is, indisputably, the biggest winner. This great journey was triggered by Hans Herrmann and Richard Attwood in 1970. They led a 1-2-3 finish for the German team behind the wheel of the signiture Porsche 917 K.

To pay tribute to this great event, Porsche Design has just unveiled a limited edition chronograph-P'6612 which features a distinguished sport style. The brand just have confidence that this dynamic watch will evoke a special emotion for those who love the racing sport and fine timepieces.

The full name of this new watch is Porsche Design P'6612 Dashboard Le Mans 1970 Limited Edition. As the name suggests, the watch come with a pretty cool dial that is inspired by the the 917 K's dashboard instruments. The iconic numer 23 which decorated the gorgerous 917 K acconpanied Hans Herrmann thoughout his racing career appears at the small seconds subdial at 3 o'clock. Another feature of the dial is the perfect combination of decent black, bright red and pure white, which reminds me of exciting live race.

As a sport watch, the P'6612 is, of course, fitted with tachometer scale in the internal bezel. Then the wearer can use it to measure the average speed.

The case of P'6612 , crafted from titanium, showcase a nice brushed and polished fininshing. It is secured onto the wrist via a perforated calfskin strap with red topstitching which means to evoke the memory of the he 917's steering wheel.

According Porsche Design, the P'6612 is specially limited to 917 pieces. Each piece will be sold with a a scale model of the 917 K and a booklet with the signature of Hans Herrmann and Richard Attwood.
