Doing so, doesn't mean you are escaping realities. On the contrary, it helps realizing you have to take breaks and care for your body. Opting for a healthy lifestyle not only improves your health, but also enables you to better fight stress.

Relaxed mind, not allowing yourself to lose your cool, facilitates coping with stress.
