When you buy a computer and get home, what comes out of the box can be great for beginning, however if your like most folks you can quickly come to feel that you've really just got a starter kit.

These days most computers just don't come equipped with all the things that folks will use with a PC. A fully functioning PC is one that is personalized with specially selected programs and hardware. You should get the CPU unit, a basic keyboard, mouse and speakers with you PC and if your just starting then it will be fine for awhile. Just like a house though, you may want to add some pizzaz such as full multimedia capabilities, graphics tools, a color printer, some of the things you may want won't come with what you bought.

You may find a need for a microphone, a digital camera, PDAs, scanners, and of course you need a video cam these days. What you may now call an accessory may become a necessity. Because manufacturers continuously develop new technology you may find that in six months your computer won't handle the accessory that you would like to use. Therefore, if you even think you may want some gadget then you probably would be ahead to get it within a few weeks of getting your computer.

It's easy enough to get the things you want for your computer, what may be a challenge to some is staying within any kind of budget. You pay more for speed and quality but guess what in this case it's worth the money to get power nothing more frustrating than waiting for you program to load or waiting for your printer or scanner to do it's thing because you saved a hundred bucks on the front end.
