Get your face out there
Answer every single advert looking for someone fitting your description no matter how random or unappealing the job might seem. Or you can be working on and off in the UK for a while then suddenly be offered a 3 month assignment in Australia. You must be prepared to live with the expectation that you can travel at the drop of a hat and look fabulous when you get there. Also, with the likelihood of gaps in your employment you must be able to live and budget for this financially. For every weekend you have sipping champagne at Cannes, you need to spend the same amount of time eating beans on toast in Croydon. At least in the beginning.
So go for it! If you think you have what it takes, start at step one and grab life and your career with both hands. You need a thick skin and a strong work ethic but the rewards are there for the hardest working and luckiest out there.
