The summit aimed at finding out better ways for long term prosperity in the Nevada economy, the nation as a whole and the world.

The clean energy summit was organized by Harry Reid, the senate majority leader, the University of Nevada and Center for American Progress Action Fund.

The National Clean Energy Summit 2.0 discussed the progress that was made since the first summit of its kind which was held in the year 2008. In this summit, Nevada was in the epicenter.

In this summit the various aspects of the major clean energy technologies, energy efficiency matters and cleantech investments were also discussed.

This years summit of 2009 also talked about future plans for new legislative opportunities as a course was being charted out for the clean energy future of the nation.

People in the summit agreed that clean energy usage will also create advancement in energy independence and ensure long term prosperity in the economies.

The discussions were the followed by a debate on how the American nation should generate clean energy and use it in the future.

It came clear in the summit that Nevada has abundance of clean energy sources like geothermal, solar, wind and other efficiency technologies that will be able to meet all future needs. However, even after this summit the million dollar question that arises is, will the Nevadans and all the Americans finally succeed in shifting to clean energy solutions which promise a less expensive future, a cleaner environment, a healthy air and better job opportunities?
