Many students think that writing a few articles for a student newspaper is an indisputable advantage for their future resumes which will be appreciated by their future employers. However, an article on students' problems is far from being enough. Actually, even several articles can be no good for your future career. What can you do, or rather what should you do? 1. If student media in your school is presented by newspaper, you should become, at least, an editor of this newspaper to become a winning applicant. You can also start some useful series of catching articles which can play an important role in your school's life. Do not be afraid of considering disputable, controversial or even scandalous articles. 2. If there is student radio in your school, you should not only present some news about students' schedules or some other activities. Try to launch some useful program. Of course, it will not be a few hours political show, but you can dedicate ten minutes to some useful things. You can take some interviews with professors, your school administration or even potential employers. 3. Well, if your school is prosperous enough to have student TV, you can become a real star. For instance, to present some news is not that helpful for your future career. Try to become a director of news program. Make interesting reportages on important news or events. Arrange meetings and interviews with some interesting people. Of course, it could be great to try to be helpful not only for your school students' lives, but to the whole community. Well, these are three ways to receive additional points for your further study or future career. Remember that employers need not only active people, but they want to employ leaders to lead their company to new accomplishments.
