subject: Fixed Your Credit Without Falling For Scams When Buying A Miami Real Estate Property [print this page]

Loans are getting harder and harder to getLoans are getting harder and harder to get. The competition is tough and lenders are tightening their qualifications. You will need more than a stellar credit rating to pique your lenders interest; you have to back it up with a praiseworthy application. And while on the topic of credit scores, those having a hard time repairing theirs will find it more frustrating if they fall prey to credit repair scams. So when you're trying to qualify for a loan to purchase a Miami real estate property, check out these tips to help you avoid scammers.

Useful measures

You're watching television, trying to clear your head and come up with a solution to purchase a Miami real estate property since you just found out that you have a less-than-outstanding credit score, when suddenly, a credit repair ad appears during the commercials. Before you grab that phone and dial in the numbers, you must know that many of these credit repair companies are actually scammers who can only harm your already tarnished score.

But that doesnt mean there arent any trustworthy companies out there; there are. You only owe it to yourself to do prior research before paying somebody to repair your credit for you. Even if you're in dire need of a repair to get a loan for your planned Miami real estate purchase, remember to tread with caution before you become a cautionary tale yourself.

Dont pay upfront cash. Trustworthy companies dont ask clients to pay immediately.

Run if they tell you not to contact the credit bureau directly.

Dont believe a repair company that promises to clear all your negative information. Any negative information in the report isnt negative unless confirmed by disputing with the reporting bureau. It goes away for 30 days while its under dispute but return if found accurate.

Be chary when the company doesnt give you a copy of your consumer rights; the law requires them to do so.

Alternative

While there are certainly helpful credit repair companies out there, its just too risky to put your full trust on them. Instead of giving away your credit future on the hands of strangers, there are ways that you can to improve your credit yourself.

First, contact the report bureaus and order a copy of your report. If you're planning to purchase a Miami real estate property in a few years, make a habit of ordering and reviewing your report every year. This way, you can easily dispute any negative information instead of finding it out too late.
