At times you might notice some dll file errors. These can pop up when you start the computer, and these can occur when applications are started.
What is a dll file? What does dll stand for?
Dll stands for Dynamic Link Library. The concept behind them is that there is code that can be shared between programs that doesn't need to be open an using ram the entire time. There will be a dll file for your scanner for example. When using your word processor, the computer will access the scanner's dll only when the scanner is needed to be used.
How to install dll files if missing.
If there is a missing dll issue, there is an option to manually install them to the computer yourself. Download the file from the internet or find it on another windows computer. All dll files will be under C:windowssystem32 for the most part. If you do find the required file on another Windows computer, copy it, and put it in this folder on the machine with the missing file. Sometimes the file will be in the installation files and reinstalling or repairing the application will take care of the problem.
Another way of fixing certain dll issues is with a dll cleaner. This is normally referred to as a registry cleaner tool. This scans the system looking for errors and can remove old references to unneeded dll associations. Once the computer is scanned, the registry cleaner can help fix the problems. For the average user this is one of the easiest ways of dealing with dll problems.About the Author:
