Scenic Places, breathtaking views and a once in a lifetime adventure awaits you at the heart of Ireland, the Shannon Region, but first, how do you get there? There may be different modes of transportations each of these have their pros and cons, but all can bring you to one great destination.

So which one will it be? The choice is yours, but a car hire is simply the most practical.

Through plane

The Airport well serves the Town of Shannon. Being next to Dublin airport in terms of size, it is a gateway to tourists from all walks of life. From the airport, cheap car rentals are already available and are recommended when visiting Shannon.

Through bus

Bus Eireann mainly serves this town. The bus also serves the Shannon airport with many buses rendering services everyday. Most of the locations within Ireland can be accessed using the public bus. There are also summer bus destinations which include the beautiful coastal beach resorts. Direct buses also run to Galway. Rambler tickets give discount travel on trains and buses in the Shannon region.

Through car

Shannon is one of our few city break destinations where renting a car is recommended. Stunning countrysides is waiting to be explored in every angle and turn. One advantage of renting a car is that you could stay away from the stress and hustle of public transport. You get to go and visit places at your own time, at your own pace and independently.

You have the choice whether you want to go off road, to discover other places or just follow the path and enjoy the scenes and get back to places no matter how many times you want.

Ferries

Local ferries also dock at Scattery Island and the incredibly breathtaking Aran Islands. The ferry crossing will take you from Kilrush Marina to fascinating Scattery Island in just twenty minutes.
