subject: Rocklin New Jeep Vehicles Will Soon Come With A New V6 Design Engine [print this page]

With the launch of the new Pentastar V6, Chrysler may be on an upward swing in the American auto industry. Amid fanfare and visiting dignitaries, Chrysler executives and employees of the Trenton, Michigan plant where the engines are manufactured celebrated this move forward.

Your Rocklin new Jeep dealer echoes the statements made by Chryslers manufacturing head Scott Garberding. The Pentastar engine is a cornerstone of Chryslers efforts to re-invent its business model with strong brand-focused, world-class quality products, Garberding stated. The new Trenton South plant demonstrates the Chrysler Groups commitment to supporting economic development in Michigan.

He continued, ,It also acknowledges the support of the International UAW and our outstanding workforce for helping us create an engine plant that can compete with the best in the world. Garberding emphasized the Trenton plants importance to the companys growth in coming years.

Chryslers most advanced engine yet is a tweak on the Phoenix. The Pentastar V6 is currently being placed in the 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee, which will be available in late summer. Featuring direct-injection and turbocharging, this engine is more efficient than previous models used by Chrysler. Visit a Rocklin used Jeep dealer and take a test drive when the new Grand Cherokee arrives.

The Pentastar is a 1.4-liter, 16 valve engine and more powerful and efficient than the previous engine used in the Grand Cherokee. So, not only do buyers get the benefit of a better product, but the plant where the engines are manufactured was built specifically for that purpose and has created a huge number of jobs in Michigan. Yet another bright spot for the struggling U.S. auto industry and Rocklin used Jeep dealers are thrilled.

Chrysler invested $730 million in getting Pentastar up to production and plans for the plant to produce more than 400,000 engines a year. This, of course, has made not only displaced skilled workers in the area take notice, but the United Auto Workers has been supportive of the project as well.

A UAW spokesperson said, Three years ago, Chrysler Group demonstrated its confidence in its workforce by investing in its powertrain operations. Today, the UAW members at Trenton are excited to participate in building the next generation of high quality, fuel-efficient engines for Chryslers great lineup of vehicles.

For those of us who just want a fun driving experience, room to load up the family or a weekends worth of gear and assurance that we can leave the road and not get stuck, this engine upgrade is just one more reason to go in for a test drive. For a community in Michigan, it means hope for a whole new life for hundreds of families and your Rocklin new Jeep dealer is proud to be part of it.
