Over the decades the Camaro has managed to retain its cool factor and the 2012 may just be the coolest ever. Imagine driving your high school fantasy car and actually being able to pay for it yourself. This will be the indulgence car for many men my age, I suspect. With a simple rag top, electric we assume, it will carry the V6 and V8 powertrains currently found in the coupe model.

Nostalgia will probably play a big role in the sales of the 2012 Camaro, if not directly in the marketing. Its not the car that has necessarily turned heads in the last few years, but for those with fond memories of the Camaro, it will be a soft sell.
I find it interesting that General Motors also plans to market this Camaro model in Europe. I suppose they have their sports car fantasies too.
