subject: Chicago Chevy Camaro 2012 Has Been Spotted [print this page]

The Camaro was on the A-list for cool cars when I was a teenager in the 80s. They showed up in lots of teen movies and of course there was the unforgettable song by the Dead Milkmen about a Camaro. Well, now the newest Camaro model, the 2012, has been spotted on a test drive and industry experts as well as die-hard Camaro fans couldnt be more excited.

Over the decades the Camaro has managed to retain its cool factor and the 2012 may just be the coolest ever. Chicago Chevy Camaro dealers are excited about the 2012 Camaro Convertible which will be in the showrooms no later than April 2011. That gives us just under a year to clear space in our garages.

Imagine driving your high school fantasy car and actually being able to pay for it yourself. This will be the indulgence car for many men my age, I suspect. With a simple rag top, electric we assume, it will carry the V6 and V8 powertrains currently found in the coupe model.

Chicago Chevy Corvette owners will want to get a look at this ride, as it is not only sharp-looking, but comfortable and classically nostalgic. Nostalgia will probably play a big role in the sales of the 2012 Camaro, if not directly in the marketing. Its not the car that has necessarily turned heads in the last few years, but for those with fond memories of the Camaro, it will be a soft sell.

I find it interesting that General Motors also plans to market this Camaro model in Europe. I suppose they have their sports car fantasies too. Chicago Chevy Corvette dealers can rest assured that customers will be flocking in to drive the 2012 Camaro, since we certainly have our share of car fantasy-driven buyers here.

Hopefully we will get a closer and more detailed look at the Camaro soon and find out what fun features might be included on the interior and the possible price point. Chicago Chevy Camaro buyers will be eagerly awaiting any news on the new model.

Okay, now that youre listing all the movies with your favorite Camaro and trying to remember the lyrics to that song, stop and think about how cool it is that the dream car of your teens is still being manufactured and improved.

Reflect for a moment. Think about the fact that you can afford that dream car now and you can take it out without a curfew. Just because youve grown up doesnt mean your car cant be young!

And if youre a first-time-around Camaro fan, just know that even 20 years from now when you are middle-aged, your favorite car will still be cool.
