Once you graduate you can work under an experienced electrician as an apprentice.

You can chose a specialty like electrical safety, cable technology, and the fundamentals of electricity and become a teacher yourself. In these days of cut throat competition it is advisable to learn not just the basics and fundamentals of electricity but to cross train yourself in at least one specialty field.

Of course you will need to obtain your license and to do this you will have to appear for and pass a test based on the National Electrical Code. This code is the industrial standard for proficiency in the electrical trades. After completing electrician training, many electricians make a very good living working only a few days a week. You can, without investing in a storefront business move on to building a steady flow of income that will keep you comfortable for the rest of your life.
