All of us cooks tend to get in a rut sometimes, serving the same old foods even at our parties or just when having friends over. If you want to shake things up a little and do something different, give this recipe for an Avocado-Crab Dip a try. This would be great at your next party along with the other appetizers. Or how about serving this dip along with the usual chips and salsa at your next Mexican food event. With the avocado, it will fit right into a Mexican theme. What a fun way to surprise your family, friends, or other party guests who are only expecting an assortment of salsas. Even better, this dip needs to chill which makes it a great make-ahead item. Make it early rather than having to do it at the last minute. What could be better? EASY AVOCADO-CRAB DIP 1 large avocado 1 tbsp fresh lemon juice 1 thin slice of onion 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce 1 pkg (8-oz) cream cheese, cut into cubes and softened 1/4 cup sour cream 1/4 tsp salt 1 can (7 1/2-oz) crab meat, drained, flaked, and cartilage removed To prepare the avocado, halve, seed, peel, and cut into cubes.
