DEPRESSIONDEPRESSION. Physical Signs of Depression

Hello, I am Rod Morgan of The Depression Workshop.com

In the 1990s, I became severely depressed over a long five year period. But I have managed to turn my life around and for many years now I've been back on top and really enjoying my life again.

And you can do just the same thing.

But before we get to that, let us just have a look at one or two of the physical signs of depression -

- People who are depressed often move more slowly and their speech can slow down

- They can have a change of appetite and a lack of energy

- Their weight can change, usually downwards, but occasionally, people will gain a little bit of weight

- They can become constipated

- and experience unexplained aches and pains

And something that I personally experienced is that they can experience disturbed sleep patterns, either not being able to sleep at night or, as I found increasingly, waking up very early in the morning and being unable to get back to sleep again

And another symptom of depression is reduced sex drive or lack of interest in sex

Now in this series of articles we will also be looking at the behavioural and the psychological symptoms of depression.

In the meantime though, if you feel that you may be feeling depressed, or you think you know someone who is, I have produced a FREE VIDEO COURSE showing 7 KEY STEPS to BEATING STRESS, ANXIETY and DEPRESSION.
