Instead of fingerprint technology, another biometric security system is facial biometrics. This technology works by analyzing a video or photographic image and identifying the position of some "central points of meeting" on someone's face. The central point of this meeting is mostly located between the forehead and above lip. Expression and the presence of soft hair do not affect the analysis.

The face identification has an advantage that is the person concerned does not feel that his face is being analyzed. Hence, this technique can be developed to determine the existence of a terrorist or to prevent the vandals of football game on the ground and fraud in a casino.

Another biometric security system is a voice biometric. Unfortunately, it is rather difficult to develop. In the other hand, this technology is cheap and only requires the analyzer of someone's vowel characters. However, the reliability of this product is low compared with other biometric products, especially when the time to talk is just a little.

Similar with the voice biometric is the signature. This system is based on the theory of graphology that the signature reflects the character of a person. The hardware used is pen and a pad to take a signature. But, this technology would be problematic if only relying on the habit.

There are still many signs of other body parts that could be used as an access opening. For examples are the introduction of body odor, the measurement of face temperature, and sound resonance. Each of them can complement the other biometric shortage. For example: the difficulty of distinguishing twin people can be overcome with the introduction of the face temperature. The problem is that some biometric products are less practical. To make the products, you should also need big cost.
