subject: Understanding The Nature Of God Regardless Of Your Religion Or Background [print this page] The world is full of good peopleThe world is full of good people. In the human scene, to be good, one lives by the laws set down by the society in which he lives. One conducts his business in an ethical manner, is devoted to one's family, and returns to the community some type of social benefit. In spite of all this, one is still only "good enough" in that an individual attempts to stay "out of trouble". Being "good" has nothing to do with being "spiritual".
Even though religion teaches that God is good, God is not GOOD. God is perfection. Goodness has shades of so-called evil, or being "not-so-good" and perfection does not. One who makes "good grades" in school is not the same as one who makes "perfect grades". So there is a difference.
Pure perfection is what God is all about. Only in one's illusion of the human senses trying to say "I am a human and God lives somewhere outside of myself" can one be subjected to the "good enough" syndrome. And, just as God appears as all things and as all forms, both visible and invisible, everything must be perfect. How can there possibly be imperfection in perfection?
In the daily temptations of hearing, listening to, and agreeing with the news media, the neighbor's gossip, or the still small voice, which would one choose? Removing the veil of perpetuated visions of God sitting on a throne in "heaven" to judge or correct one misses entirely the whole nature of God. Accepting false claims of sickness, sin, and death as reality, thrust upon one through generations of time, is it no wonder people are confused with Truth?
As a spiritual entity, God IS ALL that's invisible. Principles of mathmatics, science, music and art all bear God's eternal perfection. Can one human change the musical scale or the fact that one plus one equals two? Likewise, the principal of life is also God. Rose bushes beget roses, humans beget humans. The principle is always the same.
All that exists is God appearing as that thing, in whatever form it takes. The human form called people does not have the ability to place a star in the sky or to create a whale in the ocean. It is important that in able to understand the nature of God, one has to understand what God is - and everything God is not, which is the same thing (may require some thought).
God is perfect and God is perfection. The perfect rotation of the earth around the sun and the perfect scheduling of the seasons of tree growth indicate God appearing as these events just as much as a baby's arrival. Each is perfect because God is perfect - not just "good".
In one's meditation, focusing on the perfection of all things is to come to the realization of the Truth about God. Meditation doesn't necessarily mean sitting on a pillow with one's legs crossed. Nor does it mean, necessarily, staring out the window at a sunset or at raindrops on the windowpane. One can meditate anywhere and doing anything.
As you go about your daily business, your house and yard work, your commute to and from work, keep a conscious realization of God with you. Make a conscious effort to keep God on your mind. Consciously ponder and think of spiritual things. Turn off the television. Turn off the radio and tape player in the car.
As one realizes, really realizes and not just "believes", really understands why all is perfect, because God is, the added fruits come into manifestation.
