Working moms unite! There is help for you now and it is in the form of federal grant money that can help you pay for your education. Projects like the Scholarships for Moms Program can be extremely beneficial to those who need it most. Many single mothers, whether married or not, have chosen to not continue with their education after high school, in favor of starting a family. The idea of becoming "stay at home" moms, with PTA meetings and greeting the kids with a bowl of chicken soup and sandwiches, when they return from school used to signify the ideal American home life. But all that went the way of the Edsel and BETA tape machine due to the economy. Now having at least two incomes is necessary for families to survive. Mothers find they must work to keep food on the table and the bills paid on time. So they try to get a job but find very few options for those who are undereducated. Having a high school diploma or less delegates women to the minimum wage category and that just is not enough to be much help when it comes to paying the bills. Women who wish to return to school to improve on their education find it can be very expensive to do. President Obama and his administration realize there is a financial dilemma in this country and are trying to help by offering grant money to moms who wish to improve their education by going back to school and obtaining a degree. In order to determine if you can qualify all that is required is filling out a form called a FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid). This form can be found at most any college or university or it is available online as well. These student scholarships are intended to assist those mothers who wish to complete or better their education in order to get better paying jobs.About the Author:
