Again talking from a layman's perspective Computer RAM is a term that is used to mean the main memory of the computer programs. In contrast to this ROM (Read only memory) refers to the memory that is available to the keep the programs that are used at the time of booting the computer. Although both RAM and ROM Computer memories provide random right to use, RAM facilitates in accessing and writing of data on the computer whereas ROM only enables to read the data.
