This is especially handy if you're involved with making a decision that are emotionally charged, as someone from the outside have a clearer view of the whole situation than you are.

Take into consideration of the financial, kinship and any short term or long term impact if you make a certain decision. Do not forget to take into consideration of another party who is very close to you if they are involved. Once you've listed them down, you get a clearer and bigger picture of your decision, it is easy to pick that way. On occasion where the pros and cons are unclear, pick the one you are most happy to take responsible for.

Understanding your decision - Sometimes bad decisions and regrettable ones are made in a haste, this is often the case when we do not fully understand the impact of it.
