Dumbbell is one of the most efficient exercise equipment you can have. Since it is space saving, you can take it anywhere even while you are on the road. This equipment allows you to do exercise while you are traveling.

Most people use dumbbell for exercising with their upper body. As a matter of fact, you can also perform exercise for your lower body by using this equipment.

The first thing you have to do is to stand up with your legs are apart as wide as your shoulders. You have to ensure yourself that your feet are strongly stepping on the floor and your knees are loose.

The next thing you have to do is to grasp a dumbbell in each of your hands. You have to hold them tightly yet with a loose fist. Make the muscle of your shoulders and arms loose as well.

Take your right foot in front so that you are in lunge forward position. You will have a position in which your right knee bent at the right angle while your left knee lower to touch the floor. When you are about touching the floor in a comfortable position, you can be back to your first position. You can push off using your right foot and then pull it with your left upper leg for drawing yourself back upright.

You can alter this exercise with your left foot. Lunge forward with your left foot and follow the steps as what your right foot does. Make several repetitions of up to 10 to 20 times for each of the legs.

While performing that exercise, you can hold the dumbbells at a level of your shoulders and the rounded ends of the dumbbells will be the same level with your ears. Then, squat when you lower toward the floor. Then, return to your first position and tense your buttocks and thighs while rising. You can repeat this exercise for about 10 up to 20 repetitions.
