subject: Is Herbalife A Scam [print this page] Ok, let me set this straight nowOk, let me set this straight now. Herbalife is not a scam. Believe it or not, there are not many Network Marketing frauds out there. I am so tired of reading everywhere on the internet and forums about scams.
You must to understand a fact though; folks that say a particular Network Marketing company is a scam are usually the people that I called "Tired Kickers". The same people are not willing to carry out whatsoever it takes to be successful in the MLM Company. The same people somehow believe that their upline is supposed to do the entire job for them. The same folks let situations that you can't control get in the way of their triumph. These are the people that are not unswerving enough to be profitable in the MLM business.
I do not distribute for this company. So I definitely do not have any gain by saying they are a legit company. Before you start taking to heart all the stories and forums you read online, you have to first look at how long they have been in business. This company got in business in 1980 and has been on the rise since then. I personally do not know of any MLM scam that will last that long.
This company is listed on the NY stock exchange, and is part of Direct Selling Associations around the world. They have around 1.9 million associates around the world. They are doing business in 70 countries the last I checked. They sold $3.8B worth of volume in 2008. This company paid compensations worth of $2.4B to their representatives in 2007. This does not happen frequently in other MLM Companies.
So why are they calling them a scam? These are folks that were in no way educated on the most critical skill that you need to have in order to be successful in this mlm company or other Network Marketing company. This skill is marketing. We MLM professionals forget that we are marketers. Those that know that must market are marketing the wrong thing. I will simplify this as best as I can. You have to market yourself. They are doing a nice job of promoting themselves already. THIS IS YOUR BUSINESS. PEOPLE WILL DO BUSINESS WITH PEOPLE. Folks that go over the internet saying that this company is a rip-off are the same folks that refuse to appreciate this basic notion. These same people will call all other MLM companies a scam.
