subject: Dutch Pop-Art Painter Herman Brood [print this page] The Groningen Museum opened in 2006 an exhibition dedicated to Brood's life and work, including paintings, poetry, lyrics, and photographs by Anton Corbijn. The exhibit was themed on his atelier where most of the paintings were created. In the museum Brood's atelier had been completely reconstructed. During the 90s, his atelier was positioned on a gallery's second floor in the Spuistraat, Amsterdam. The studio has remained untouched since his tragic death in July 2001
