subject: Are Virtual Assistants Taking Over The Corporate World? [print this page]

Every day, the internet is becoming more prevalent throughout the world. More and more people are going online and doing business online. The internet has really made it possible for people to communicate through even long distances. Because of the internet, jobs that had to be done in the office in the past can now be performed at home.

This is the reason more and more tasks can now be performed by off-site assistants called virtual assistants. Virtual assistants are workers that perform various tasks from the comforts of their own homes or other places they prefer. They are freelance workers that deliver services to different companies. They could also be part of VA companies that provide different services to clients. Virtual assistance now covers a wide range of services and not just administrative tasks. In fact, any job that requires working with data can be performed by a virtual assistant. The only tasks that cannot be performed by virtual assistants are tasks that require working with physical materials.

Virtual assistants now eliminate the need of people to be in the workplace to do tasks. Virtual assistance provides great flexibility for employers as well as the workers. Now people do not have to relocate to search for new jobs in other states. Mothers who cannot leave home to work in an office can offer virtual assistant services. Employees that were laid-off their jobs can work as virtual assistants. There are so many other benefits to working as a virtual assistant. And this is why many workers now choose to become full-time virtual assistants.

Is virtual assistance taking over the workplace? At the moment, the VA is not completely taking over the workplace but the industry sure is growing. There are so many benefits to working as a VA and to hiring a VA. They are definitely helpful for small companies that do not have ample office space to accommodate additional workers. At the moment, it doesn't look like virtual assistance will take over the corporate world completely. There are certainly companies and businesses wherein the working environment really requires an office setting. But virtual assistance really delivers great benefits to companies that it will likely stay and will even grow more. Virtual assistance not only provides benefits for the workers and the companies, they even have benefits for the environment. Not commuting to work can greatly reduce the carbon footprint of a worker.
