The ancient history, mythology and inspiring natural landscapes of Wales inspires handmade products that are both unique and beautiful. None-more-so than the work of leading goldsmiths, Clogau Gold who create stunning, collectable jewellery from Welsh Gold. As well as being the perfect material for Welsh jewellery, Welsh Gold is the rarest, most expensive gold in the world .

Welsh Gold is handcrafted into jewellery including rings, bracelets, brooches, earrings, pendants, charms using shapes and imagery from Welsh ancient history and mythology including Celtic symbols and dragons. There are two types of Welsh Gold, yellow gold and rose gold. When Welsh gold is extracted from mines such as the Clogau mine it often has a reddish tint from copper. During refining, Welsh gold is purified to remove the reddish tint and create yellow gold. Once purified Welsh gold looks identical to gold from elsewhere around the world, it is only through its isotopic composition that it is possible to differentiate between Welsh gold and normal gold. Welsh jewellery is also handcrafted from a wide variety of other natural materials found in Wales including Welsh slate, pebbles, ammonite and gemstones.

The quality and nature of Welsh food has been impacted by the countrys geography, which sustains arable and intensive farms on vast valleys, hills and moorland as well as fisheries in lakes, rivers and along a coastline that constitutes over half the Welsh border. Welsh Choice provides a unique outlet for locally produced food and drink so Welsh whisky distilleries, farms, fisheries and chocolatiers so it can be enjoyed by a much wider demographic.

Welsh Choice provides the opportunity for Welsh businesses to promote and sell their products produced and provided from the region. If you produce handmade Welsh products or know someone that does, recommend that they join some of the finest Welsh craftsmen on Welsh Choice.

Welsh Choice is also keen to continue developing partnerships with hotels, guest houses and bed and breakfasts to provide accommodation in Wales. Accommodation is currently available in locations including Anglesey, Snowdonia, Cardiff, Pembrokeshire, Conwy and Carmarthenshire.
