subject: Guaranteed Warlock Pvp Strategies For Success [print this page] If you are new to World of Warcraft you are about to be faced with a ton of different game aspects some of which can be very difficult to learn and others not so much. Perhaps the most difficult of all of the aspects of World of Warcraft is Pvp or player versus player combat. Because you are faced off against real people from around the world this is always changing therefore much more difficult. I have personally been able to dominate Warlock Pvp for the last three years and would like to share some advice that has helped me accomplish this goal.
Warlocks are only able to wear one type of armor and that is if you want to call it armor. After all, you can only equip cloth items and they provide almost no protection. If you are silly enough to let a melee class close the distance on you' you are as good as dead. Make sure you always keep an awareness of your surroundings so you can escape quickly should the need arise.
It is important to note two things about Warlocks. We do not have to stop to deal damage and we don't have to be facing our enemy to deal damage. One of the keys of my success has been my ability to master these facts. Often times I never stop moving during an entire arena match. Instead I run around throwing dots on everyone and everything. This puts a tremendous amount of pressure on the opposing healer as well as frustrates the opposing dps.
The last bit of helpful advice I can offer to new Warlocks is a fairly complicated bit. Many new players will underestimate the power of the Warlock pet but this is a devastating mistake. Your pet not only absorbs much of the damage that is intended for you but it also has the ability to end games. For example, if you have your opponent low and the opposing teams' healer is winding up for a big heal you can interrupt that heal with your pet's spell lock ability. Boom, that is a game breaker.
I know that us gamers are not exactly known for reading through walls of text and so I won't be offended if you have skimmed the article down to this point. However, make sure you read what I am about to say. Never let melee classes close the distance on you, always stay mobile while casting dots on your enemies, and no matter what spend some time mastering your pet.
