The words we speak are magical and powerful! Jesus Christ emphasized the power of the word; "By thy words thou shalt be justified and by thy words thou shalt be condemned," and "death and life are in power of the tongue." The tongue is mightier than the sword and therefore one of the most important and powerful organs of man. Have you ever heard the saying your word is your bond? It refers to the fact that what you say can be trusted. According to Van Waller, every time you give someone your word, your reputation and standard of personal integrity is on the line You will never be truly successful without a high regard for your own personal integrity. Another way to put it is individuals that do not follow through with their word can no longer be trusted. Their reputation is scarred and a glass ceiling is placed over where their relationship can expand. I admit to taking my words too lightly on more than one occasion. I definitely always had good intentions. But, we know where the road of good intentions leads us - often the hot seat. After careful examination of myself, I discovered that one of my bad habits always led to other bad habits. For instance, I would have good intentions when making a promise but often fell short because I was unorganized. Being unorganized leads to a multitude of sins or falling short of the mark. Simply get organized and youll have more time to keep your word and fulfill those promises.About the Author:
