subject: Track Your Article Marketing With Google Alert [print this page]

As we all know that article marketing is best proven and must use tool for website promotion and to gain bunches of backlinks to your website and hence to your business. Recently I have found the way to track our article marketing campaign with Google's alert services.

What is the article marketing?

You create a well written and informative article for your site. Post this article to lots of online publishing sites and article directory sites. These sites are used to syndicate your content to other websites, who really needs well written and informative content for their site. The hack is that, you are posting this article with author resource box attached to it which contains short information about your website and also a backlink. People use your article in their site with your resource box also.

After a few days or month your article may appear on hundreds of sites with free backlink to you. How ever there is hard to predict the exact benefit you are going to gain with a article posting, but its sure will benefit you.

So how do I track my articles and backlinks?

Good news is that you can track your article marketing campaign. When ever your article appears on new website or blog or anywhere on internet, you will be notified via email and so you can check out that that site maintains your backlink or not and also how important place is that for your article to appear there.

What I need to do to track articles with Google alerts?

If you want to get benefit of Google alert service to track your articles, you need to take care of your article title at the time you write it. You must select article title that is unique and not available on internet any where. I mean, suppose I have selected "Track your article marketing with Google Alert" title for this article, now I should check this title by search in Google with double quote as it is (exact phrase search). If I see "No result found", I will take this title other wise I will slightly change the title and find again. So in short, use the title, which has "no result found" result for exact phrase search in Google.

Go to Google.com/alerts and create alert with the title in double quote as soon as you publish the article on your site. Oh! so simple, you are done, now you will start receiving Google's notification when ever it finds your title some where on internet.
