When becoming an online entrepreneur, one of the biggest challenges youll face is choosing which marketing strategies to use. There are so many choices that many new entrepreneurs become confused. Ive been there...and still find myself going there. Have you? It can happen in many different ways. Sometimes I start my day planning on doing one thing, then I get distracted with something new that comes along...like an email offer thats too good to pass up. Ive started opting of emails because Im finding them too distracting. Another thing that happens to me is I listen to a top producer and think thats what Ill do. Then I listen to another one whos doing something different, and think thats what Ill do. Then I listen to another one whos doing something else, and think thats what Ill do. Before you know it, I have so many thats what Ill do, that I dont do anything at all. There are so many marketing strategies and someone is successful at them. But the fact remains that as a new entrepreneur, you dont have the experience and know how to make them all work. So you have to be choosy about what you do. Although there are many marketing strategies to choose from, here are 5 strategies that are common among top producers. I recommend that you start with just one, especially if you dont have a lot of time. But dont do more than two. Become comfortable with the one you pick, master it. When youre comfortable with the strategy, it will become second nature and you will become faster at it. Then add another strategy and master it. Repeat. The top 5 marketing strategies of top producers are: 1. Social Media. Social media sites are free to set up. There are also plenty of inexpensive automation tools to help manage them. These sites are great for personal branding. 2. Content Production. This is about articles and videos. At a minimum you should master one of these methods, and if possible both. These are free to set up and there are also inexpensive automation tools. Articles and videos are great for personal branding, and once you get good at them, you can consider outsourcing. 3. Ezines and Email Marketing. Ezines are online magazines. You can place different kinds of ads in ezines. Email marketing is where you send emails to a list of people interested in business opportunities. The best way to get involved is to join a program that offers email marketing. These can be inexpensive as well, depending on the program you use. 4. Pay Per Click (PPC). PPC is placing ads on search engines such as Google, Yahoo, and Bing. When someone does a search on the engine, the search will show ads. If the searcher clicks on the ad, the advertiser is charged. PPC is the top dog when it comes to marketing, but its very competitive and you can lose your shirt if you dont know what youre doing 5. Relationship List-Building. This strategy involves the use of an autoresponder. Keeping in contact with your leads is essential for personal branding and for establishing yourself as an expert. You can also introduce your subscribers to different products. We just lightly brushed on these strategies. You have to dig in deeper to understand whats involved in each in order to learn them and master them.
