subject: The customer is always right [print this page] The fact that Armenia has literally at each step violated the rights of consumers, and the scope of services from a number of works badly, is no secret. It seems that this area does not work on the axiom "The customer is always right!".
"Bought goods not subject to exchange or return" - this inscription is literally striking at the entrance of every store, even in the most exclusive and prestigious. After all, under current legislation, the client has the right to return or exchange merchandise purchased within 14 days from the date of the transaction, and without any explanation. To think that the owners and employees of shops do not know about this law, it would be naive, and even if they do not know, it is also a further indication of disregard for the laws in the country. After opening the shop, the owner was at least "slightly" familiar with the regulatory scope of the legislation. I am sure that each of us have happened to be in a position where because of some circumstances we had to exchange or return purchased goods. But not every one of us could do it. We were once lucky enough to get justice, but all in good time.
Here was the beginning to the problem. We had bought a pair of boots a day before at a store in downtown Armenia. The boots ended up being a size to big so we took it down to the store to exchange. While at the store, the size we needed was not available so after a long argument, the only thing to which we were able to unleash was to exchange the boots. But, unfortunately, all the other instances of shoes were not to our taste so we proposed she take the boots back and return our money which plunged her into shock. Probably, such a request so far for her, no buyer had not dared to return. So shocked by our request, the sales woman, as expected, refused to take the goods back, citing the fact that she had already recorded the transaction on the computer. Our argument was that the main sales person should be taught not only how to record transactions on the computer, but as in the case need to cancel them. The saleswoman, with her eyes wide, said that she never heard about this and that she has no knowledge. In addition, we tried to remind the employee of the store that she did not give us a receipt confirming the transaction, which is also, incidentally, a violation of the rules. But this did not anger her, and taking a check from under the desk, she handed it to us. Of course, this check did not match the date of the transaction, but the saleswoman assured that the check was written out just for us. Perhaps she, predicting our parish, wrote a check in advance.
