subject: Residual Affiliate Programs And Reasons To Promote It [print this page]

Residual affiliate programs usually pay only a small percentage of sales commission for every sale made by the subsidiary in the merchant's site. This commission often comes only in the order of 10% to 20% commission on sales.

For this reason, many people ignore residual affiliate program and would rather opt for the payment schedule of the high membership fee only. Are the people who make a mistake, or are making the right decision?

We cannot say for sure if people have erred in choosing a high-paying affiliate program commission time. But we can certainly say they are making a big mistake if they ignore residual affiliate programs. Residual affiliate programs would indeed pay a lower rate, but merchants offering such programs would generally pay you regular and ongoing commissions for a single affiliate initiated sale! This means that the same effort you made in promoting a particular affiliate program, you are paid only once during a one-time program of the commission, and a regular and ongoing commission for a residual program!

So are the benefits of promoting residual affiliate programs clearer now? Or, if they are still vague? If you are still unclear, let's make a little clearer example.

Suppose there are two online merchants both offering web hosting services of their sites. The first merchant offers a commission of a moment of affiliate program that pays $80 for every single affiliate initiated sale. The merchant also offers a second affiliate program, but this time a residual affiliate program that pays only $10 for every single affiliate initiated sale. As an affiliate, we may get attracted at once that trade deals in the first place. $80 is certainly much more than $10. But things in mind before you receive them. We may be able to see that the second merchant offers more chances of winning a larger amount of money.

Suppose you have directed traffic to the merchant and turned it into sales, you will pay when they first started selling the merchant. But the second merchant, you get paid every month until the customer you referred to the merchant continues to use the web-hosting service. This means that the same effort to get a customer uses the service merchant, you are paid monthly in residual affiliate programs only pay when you receive a lump sum once a type of premium affiliate programs.

Thus, the residual affiliate programs worth promoting? Certainly yes, because virtually get more money from these types of affiliate programs in the long run. Is residual affiliate program the best option for you? Probably not, but then again it probably does. This is not really for me to say. But with the benefits the residual affiliate marketing can provide, it would be very unwise to ignore such programs.
