subject: Men And Women Most Often Choose Liposuction As A Preferred Form Of Body Enhancement [print this page]

Mostly due to popular culture and today's media, plastic surgery has grown in popularity. Both men and women most often choose liposuction as a preferred form of body enhancement. The popularity of the procedure has created a vast majority of qualified surgeons who have mastered the standard procedures. It has also created the opportunity for the development of new methods for safety and more desirable recoveries.

Not all surgeons perform the surgery on all the parts of the body. Some surgeons have chosen to perfect their ability to make one part of the body look its best from liposuction procedures. The most common areas both men and women have fat removed from are the inner/outer thighs, arms, Gynecomastia (Enlarged Male Breasts), waist, hips/saddlebags, chin/jaw line, neck, calf, buttocks, back, ankle, and the abdomen.

Almost every human being experiences unwanted body fat at some point in their life. This, however, does not always mean they will choose liposuction as a solution. Yet, the statistics show that a large amount of the population do choose the procedures.

It is important to note that having these procedures performed does not mean that the patient will not have to work to continue to keep the fat off in the future. Liposuction does not take the place of proper exercise and diet. Rather it has provided an option for those people who find that they just can't seem to get rid of the last few pesky bounds.

Lipoplasty, another word for liposuction, is most commonly performed on the stomach or abdominal area of the body. Aging for both men and women can add a lot of unwanted pounds to the waistline area. Unwanted stomach fat is a problem area that is hard to get rid of by exercise and dieting. Lipoplasty has created an alternative to help rid the body of this fat.

For many women pregnancy can leave unwanted bulges or fat deposits that can be removed only by surgery. A C-Section may also leave the same unattractive bulges and fatty deposits after the incision heals across the abdomen.

Overall, there are a number of reasons why people are choosing surgical procedures to remove unwanted fat from the body. The pressures of society for both women and now men often cause a need to create a perfect looking body. However, some of the time men and women simply want to be rid of embarrassing abnormalities they suffer from.
