subject: Why Doesn't He Return My Calls? [print this page]

Are you frustrated when you can't seem to reach a guy? So was this reader when she wrote with this question:

"I am confused. I went out with this guy twice. We had two really great dates and I felt like we really connected. I called him the other day and asked him if he was interested and he said he was, but I still haven't heard from him again. Now I am starting to get worried! I called him like ten times in the past couple days so I'm sure he received the messages (and the texts, I sent those too), but - nothing. What should I do? Is it over? Why didn't he tell me? Please help."

He-used-to-like-you-but-now-thinks-you're-a-psycho-

What should you do? Um, looks like you have done enough. Ten times? Really? He maybe thought you were a really great girl, until you got all creepy on him and started demanding answers to whether he is interested or not after only a couple dates. Men aren't as hard as we make them. You want to know if he is interested? Don't call him. If he calls, he is. If he doesn't, he isn't. Simple as that. Think about that one guy that chased you. Did you wonder where you stood with him? I didn't think so.

If you are the one doing all the calling, you will always wonder where you stand. Ten times? Now, if he was considering a possible relationship with you, he thinks it will be a nightmare because you will be needy. Once a guy decides you are "needy" you are more trouble than you're worth - and all done. Learn your lesson, cut your losses, and move on. I know it's hard; delete his number if you have to and remove him from your messengers so you are not tempted to internet stalk.

Think about "What good looks like to you". I mean do you really want a man that you have to chase around to get him to talk to you? Do you want to be with someone that you have to wonder about? I would personally not be happy in that sort of relationship. I like feeling relaxed and enjoying the relationship. In turn, I hope that he feels relaxed with me. Remember: to want without need is to attract. So put the phone down and go get a life; you may be surprised and find a message from him when you return.
