Online marketers: Why we need mentors.
Online marketers: Why we need mentors.

These days everyone is looking for that perfect internet based job that earns and takes a few hours a week. These opportunities are out there but what you're not told is that you're going to have to change the way you work.

Home based internet jobs are like any other job. You wouldn't expect a young person who is starting their first job to do it without an experienced person around them. Yet on the internet too many people do just that. They join a home based internet job and then are left on their own; the only help given is a few generic starts up emails or videos from their nondescript sponsor. After a few weeks or months the newbie fails and calls the program a scam so everybody loses.

Question: So how can this be avoided?

Answer: One on One real person mentoring

From Wikipedia "mentors provide expertise to less experienced individuals to help them advance their careers".

Question: Now why would a successful person on the internet want to mentor?

Well the answer is straightforward, take a look at a big franchise like McDonalds. For McDonalds to be successful they need the stores to be successful, therefore it's in their best interests to ensure that the stores that doing as best they possibly can. They will provide help to franchise owner so that their business can be successful.

This works the same on the internet. Your sponsor needs you to be successful for them to be successful. Therefore, sponsors work very hard to ensure that people are successful.

Question: So why isn't everyone successful?

Answer: Because some people just don't know how to mentor.

Not all mentors are they same. The ones who offer only information are not really mentors just conduit for information.

The real mentors are people you can talk to about the problems your encountering like 'how do I focus on one thing when there are so many things I should be doing'. A good mentor should be guiding you through the minefield that is the internet marketing world; not just telling you want to do. I once hear a successful internet marketer refier to their mentor as a "lifesavers who offered technical, social and emotional support". Now at firest this may be too much but as the relationship between mentor and mentee grow the support will grow as trust is developed. To do this the mentor will at first be in daily contact with you leading and advising you on the path to success.

Beware of those who claim they will make you money in days without any work from you, with a real mentor you will have to work to achieve success but steady and secure success will come.

Can you name a person who had a positive and enduring impact on your personal or professional life, someone worthy of being called your mentor? Share you ideas on your favourite social networking site and you'll be surprise to see how many good mentors there actually are. Good luck.
