Men Incontinence Products: A Whole New World of Dryness"Just for Men.

Unisex incontinence products once were the only choice available when it came to men incontinence products. There was no broad selection of anything and when it came to correct fits for each man"it simply didn"t exist. The manufacturers didn"t take into account the enormous difference in the physical make up of a man and a woman. To be quite frank about it, I personally feel that practically all the incontinence products that were made, were made for a woman. Women make up about eighty percent of all people who are incontinent, and basically that"s they way it"s been since statistics and incontinent information has been taken and recorded in modern times. Women claim a much larger share when it comes to incontinence sufferers and it is this share that most manufacturers have sought to market their products to.

But today even though women make up about eighty percent of the incontinence market, there are still roughly forty million men around the world who are incontinent as well. This is a huge market that cannot be ignored, and in the United States over seven million men are incontinent with that number increasing with each passing day. Now that men are living longer it stands to reason that more and more men will become incontinent and will need extra added protection just to stay dry. With baby boomers already beginning to start their retirement it is estimated that within the next decade incontinence sufferer"s numbers could possibly double. And you can be sure that manufacturers are looking closely at these numbers to learn how to best capitalize on this growing trend.

Today, more so than at any other time in American history, men are living longer and going stronger; however, with aging has come some added burden that has begun to take its toll too. Although it is common to see men eighty-five and even ninety years of age and still looking reasonably healthy and fit, yet there are some underlining issues that cannot be ignored. Over ninety percent of men between seventy-five and eighty-five years of age suffer with some form of urinary incontinence. Most have had operations to remove their prostate gland or a prostatectomy. Practically all of them wear some form or type of incontinence products to help protect them from unwanted leakage, and the news get even grimmer.

There has been an upsurge in men in their mid fifties and early sixties who are experiencing difficulty with their urinary system as well as their prostate. Once it was thought that men didn"t have to worry about issues dealing with their prostate gland until their late sixties or early seventies. Not so. Today there are ever increasing numbers to verify that there is an increase in younger men who are experiencing difficulty with their prostate""enlarged prostate, as well as urinary tract infections that forces them to run to the bathroom quickly in order to avoid urinating on themselves in public as well as in private. Men in their early forties and early fifties suffer from urge incontinence due to in many cases a urinary tract infection, but also bladder problems, and an increasing number of men in their fifties already have an enlarged prostate and in some cases prostatitis or an inflamed prostate.

With this alarming trend comes the need to design gender specific products that are engineered and conceived specifically for men. Products that are contoured to fit snugly against the male body and at the same time yield a comfortable fit for work and play. Products that are designed with the anatomical difference between male and females at the forefront instead of bunch of unisex products that were not only ineffective but down right embarrassing to say the least. Men are naturally bigger and stronger than women and this anatomical difference should be reflected in the designs and manufacture of incontinent products for men; however, for years and years no such differences were acknowledged by manufacturers. For the most part men were just left out in the cold to fend for themselves by improvising the best they could with crude home made fittings that hardly worked at all.

But thanks to far sighted entrepreneurs things have completely changed for the men market and changed for the better. Products for men incontinent sufferers have made an unbelievable metamorphosis and the selection of these products is outstanding. No more makeshift protection devices; no more bulging towels strapped around your waist or legs; no more embarrassing leakage in public, and no more feminine incontinence underwear that you could hardly get up your legs in the first place. Today there are so many wonderful products just for you guys, and the selection gives you such a wide range of choice. It"s like a rainbow at the end of a devastating tornado.

It doesn"t matter if you suffer with bladder problems; prostate problems that have caused incontinence; urinary tract infection or some other reason, one thing for sure there are so many new and well designed products that are just for men"and no one else! You wouldn"t believe, products like incontinence underwear, incontinence plastic pants, incontinence briefs, bladder control products, incontinence diapers, incontinence pads, incontinence bed pads, disposable incontinence diapers, portable urinals, Cunningham clamps, internal and external catheters, and this is just a short, short list of what is available for you guys.

Being incontinent today is a far cry from what it once was; you can wipe all the tears away because your time has come. Once again you can now enter a room filled with people and exude the confidence that comes along with knowing you are in control. There"s no need to search out the location of the men room just in case you have an unexpected urge to relieve yourself. Now you can take long trips with your family knowing that you won"t spoil the trip with an unwanted accident. And never again will you have to walk around smelling of urine because although you made it to the bathroom in time""you couldn"t unzip your pants in time""poor guy. But thanks to a lot of smart manufacturers you can kiss that kind of accident good bye.
