subject: Thesis Euphoria [print this page]

C, h, a, p, t, e, r, and 1 are the most ecstatic characters to be written this thesis year. It elicits a kind of euphoria that makes you feel like you're on top of the world screaming "Thesis it!" Chapter 1 (if it isn't too obvious) is how they come together. Typing them together is a landmark in my quest in research. Blabbing all sorts of unorganized insights and information does not matter as long as you go into it. The first step is the hardest, after all.

Writing it down marks the start of yourhell year, yet it ends your four-year stay as an undergraudate in UP.

Chapter 1 is your introduction where you get to share how you come up with that topic. You list down your influences and motivation that made you choose that direction. You tell your story whole heartedly so that your readers will be hooked with focus and interest. You could also tell your goals and expectations at the end of it all. It begins with the Background of the Study, where your inspiration/motivation are highlighted. You tell of your experiences that led you to that point. Then the statement ofthe problem. It is where you put your goals to keep you on track whenever you digress. It provides a clear mission and vision to remind you of what you are in for. The significance of your study follows, which is at that point should be crystal clear. After all these, your definition of terms is changed; your concepts are now wider and have entertained different perspectives to come up with the best one. After you finish writing your Chapter 1, be proud of yourself because your four-year stay have come up with something novel. You congratulate yourself, then realize that it is just the first chapter. A first is followed by many nth. Then you go back from scratch to start the next chapter.
