subject: Distance Healing [print this page]

Distance healing is another form of energy healing that does not necessarily require a patient to be in close proximity with the healer. Unlike any conventional treatment and healthcare procedure, distance healing requires the healer to have a good ability of focusing his mind and attention to the patient needing treatment. This is necessary so that the flow of energy from the healer and the cosmos is directed to the patient, and will carry forth relief from spiritual, mental, and physical burdens.

Some practitioners of this method of healing may sometimes use an item from the patient like a photograph or any object that will help the healers or practitioners to effectively connect to their patients. Although there are also other practitioners who do not need any object but only factual information about the patient such as his name and location. This method of healing believes that energy is present everywhere therefore there is no need for any object to intensify the healing process.

The efficiency of distant healing is extensively deliberated. Most of those who attest to the healing method are those from remote areas who have difficulties seeing the healer or practitioner in person. Some testifies that their anxiety problems, depression, and stress are reduced, if not fully gotten rid off. Some do also experience physical healing from any occurrence of pain. Cynics look at the faith of the patients as the main reason for getting healed; rather than the actual distant healing process.

Prayer is the basic form of distance healing. When a person prays, he intensely think of the person he is praying for; thus emitting energy that facilitates connection from the person praying to other environmental energies including that of the person being prayed for. For Christian believers, praying is a cosmic way of presenting petitions to the Creator; thus requiring faith that it will be answered.
