You sit all day long pounding away on keys staring into cyber space or spreadsheets while you try and get comfortable. The biggest problem office employees face is fatigue as it can cripple you work performance keeping you in an off focus state of mind. Perhaps you wake up every morning in pain that can not be explained. You don't remember running 5 miles yesterday but it sure feels like and your exhausted, more than likely fatigue is the culprit. A lot of people work for hours on their computer not thinking of proper ergonomics as these phantom pains just don't come out of nowhere. Sitting all day can really irritate your back and other body parts you never knew could be affected, these cushions with the cut-out for the tailbone are great, but because of it's bulk it can raise your seat height so you need to make room for it if your desk is cramped or the seat will not go down any further.

Years and years of poor ergonomics can have a prolongs effect on our body, not just your back. I myself have been dealing with all sorts of physical aches and pains only to have my Doctor explain to me that my slouching was causing a lot of these issues. I spend a lot of saddle time at my computer always changing positions because of my discomfort, would put my feet up, then lean back, slouch, etc. On my Doc's suggestion I tried out one of those cushions with the back cut out to ease tension on the tailbone, and that helped tremendously! Since the fatigue dissipated my focus and energy went way up, the previous pain was exhausting, literally. The best thing you can do is use a office chair cushion to support your tailbone and relieve the pressure on sensitive nerves, try that and you will see a vast improvement in your physical well being and your work should improve.
