Pell grants are federally funded grants that help full and part time college students in the United States. There are about 5.3 million people currently receiving the Pell Grant to help pay for their education. The application process for a Pell Grant begins with the completion of a FAFSA application. These applications are available at high schools, colleges, vocational schools, libraries and the FAFSA website.
