So it would seem that people are finally starting to wake up and realize that this vital section of our economy has been ignored for too long. The independent workforce: freelancers, consultants, independent contractors, temps, part-timers, contingent employees, and the self-employed, makes up one-third of the nation's workforce, but many are on their own when it comes to dealing with deadbeat clients. Fortunately there are now individuals and organizations that are working tirelessly to remedy the situation. As freelance workers become more and more numerous, this problem is going to become even more essential to fix.
