When you are making over your bathroom you can build a beautiful space by using the great outdoors as inspiration. By keeping your space natural, you can incorporate all of the functions of your room into a single, seamless design. By incorporating the elements of nature in your space, you can create any kind of aesthetic that you wish. There is a plethora of ways to pull nature into the space, and here are some ideas to try.

Seashore

Everyone loves the beach, or at least they love the idea of the beach. To create a beach side atmosphere in your bath, you can begin by painting your walls a light, neutral color. The color can have a brown, grey or even blue undertone; all will work with this theme. You might think about adding handmade metal wall art or a wall paper border to the room, or even stenciling a border around the space using a seagull or seashell pattern.

You may also have enough detail that you are including in your accessories that dictates blank walls for your space. You can blend your towel rack with your walls, or you can give them a little character with a seashell pattern. You can display striped towels to remind you of beach towels and cabanas. Adding a wicker or canvas basket with extra, rolled towels continues the cabana aesthetic. You can add metal artwork in blues and greens, and you can trim the room in crisp white. Add seashell framed mirrors and clear glass containers full of colorful seashells to complete the look of your seaside bathroom.

Hunting Lodge Atmosphere

The lodge look can bestow a rustic aesthetic to your bath. This theme is ideal for a man's bathroom, and looks good in dark colors like hunter green. While you do not want to paint all of the walls such a dark color, you can choose a focal wall to paint a deep, forest green. You may add a chair rail to the space and just paint the lower half of the wall in the forest green color. You may also prefer a neutral background for your lodge bathroom, and then you can use your bold color in the furnishings like the shower curtain, bathmat and towels. Add rustic wood accents and wooden pegs to use for towel holders. Then add some wildlife inspired artwork and even a basket of old pine cones, and your rustic lodge bathroom is complete.

Garden

For a more feminine touch to the bath, you can select a garden-inspired theme. Whether that simply translates into floral patterns or producing the actual focal of a garden is your prerogative. You can choose neutral colors for the wall either in shades of tan, or you may prefer pastel neutrals with a hint of green, yellow or pink. After selecting your wall color, you can enhance the undertone of your paint color with your accents. You might choose a splash of florals with a floral shower curtain, or you may merely prefer to continue with a pastel theme to create a more organic feel in the room, like a spa. Then you can add a large vase of fresh cut flowers to your room. You can finish this room with crisp, white trim and some polished contemporary metal wall hangings, and your garden bathroom is ready to pamper.
