3. How Bad Is It? - Once you have your total debt written down, write down your household income. With the money left over, try to pay off a little more each month instead of spending this money on things that you could live without. Unfortunately, paying bills is not very satisfying but paying them off and turning your life around is. You may have heard to pay off your largest cards first. I suggest the opposite. Pay off a small card. This won't take that long and will give you some gratification. Once you get rid of one, it will motivate you to pay off the others.

4. Take On Another Job - If you find yourself with a little extra time on your hands, try getting a part time job or start a home business. Although this will cut into your time off, your current lifestyle is putting tremendous stress on your life. Working another job will not only put extra money in your pocket but it will keep you busy thus, taking your mind off of your credit card debt.

5. The Future Is Bright - Although it may be a long way off, you should know how long it will take you to finally get rid of your credit card debt. Try to mark it on a calendar or keep it in your mind so that you set a goal for yourself. Everyone should have goals. If you can remember this one, it will become important and you will accomplish it.

Hopefully, I have given you some good ideas here to finally eliminate your credit card debt. It's really frustrating and depressing but you really can get your head above water if you set your mind to it.
