subject: The White Feather [print this page] After two day's searching, Gordon was so desperate because everybody began to comfort him that without Lucia he could still live as a strong man. However, he would rather to find his groom with no stop, and kept the thought of "She was gone" out of his mind. The lovely girl would never leave his heart, and indeed she had been always with him. He could felt the smell of her, and believed that she would be somewhere he could not see temporarily. Continuous searching made him feel tired. The most terrible things in life had not taken place, hopes were still left for the young groove. He had a rest, laying down on the meadow. Watching the drifting clouds in the sky, which reminded him of bridal gowns of Lucia. They were made of special materials, the white birds' feather. There was a story about the feather-made bridal gowns. The villagers here believed in the goddess of the sky, so they always admired the white birds which were so close to their goddess. The goddess here blessed the people with fecund soil, fine days, and vivid creatures. So he decided to find the person who told Lucia the way to make bridal gowns blessed by the God. And white birds were believed to be legates of the goddess, and they had always offered food for the white birds. Special bonds had been formed between villagers and the white birds. And when a white birds was found to be dead, its feather would be used for blessing. Lucia and Gordon had their mutual birds friends. Illyria, one of them was the one they loved most. But one day, the saintly Illyria was found to be dead without no signs. They both felt deeply sorrow to loose such a dear friend, which made the two young more closer. So Lucia's bridal Gowns were made of Illyria's feathers, they wished that the dear friends could attend their wedding and they could still be together in such a way. Lucia confirmed that she was really in the world of shadows. Because she could hear the voice of door open, and her body was apparently kept from the light in the room. Darkness was always her place, and nothing could be seen clearly in this world. Thus dangers would not be forecast in such a weird world. Feelings were all about herself, thus she barely had the ability to sense the outer world.
