subject: Feel Attractive - The 5 Secrets You Should Know [print this page]

Feeling unattractive comes from poor self esteem and lack of confidence within one self. Being attractive is not just about being good looking and glamorous but includes having a great personality and feeling good about yourself. If you feel and believe that you are attractive, you will behave in such a way that others will be drawn to you and will believe the same. Taking control of your mind and reversing negative thoughts about your appearance is the first step to feeling attractive. The following are five easy ways to feel attractive:

1)Exercise

Exercise releases hormones in your brain which make you feel good about yourself. Improvement in circulation with exercise gives a healthy glow to the cheeks and boosts your energy levels. It is also a great way to reduce stress which significantly smoothes out the tension in the face and body. Even thirty minutes of daily walking can make a big improvement in your ability to look and feel attractive.

2)Smile and laugh more

Laughing releases good hormones making you feel good about yourself. People are more attracted to laughing and smiling individuals compared with frowning and stressed individuals because they are more approachable and fun. Smiling transforms the face instantly, by giving it a lift, making the eyes twinkle and causing dimples to form. Smiling is infectious and lifts everybody's spirits, in turn making you feel attractive about yourself.

3)Look after yourself

Washing, cleansing and grooming yourself regularly makes you feel attractive because you know you look, smell and feel good. Learn to spend time on yourself by experimenting with make up, different hair styles and jewellery from time to time. Treat yourself to nice clothes or a new hair cut, when you feel down. Wear bright colours to lift your spirits up and make you feel happy. If you are self conscious about your crooked and yellow teeth, facial hair or spectacles DO something about it or learn to live with it but don't dwell on it. Some small changes can make big differences to your perceived body image, making you feel more attractive.

4) Talk to yourself positively

Look in the mirror and see how attractive you are. Focus on your attractive features i.e. your skin, hair, eyes and teeth and make use of your most positive assets. If you see yourself as attractive, everybody else will too.

5) Eat more fresh fruit and vegetables

Antioxidants found in fruit and vegetables are great for you skin, hair and eyes. They help to flush out the bad toxins from the body, making you feel good from the inside. Brightly coloured fruit such as pomegranate and tomatoes are especially good cleansers and are great for the skin.

Anybody can learn to feel attractive. Become confident about yourself and the way you look, inside out, by spending time on yourself through both changes in your diet and exercise and thinking positively about yourself. When YOU feel attractive, people will think the same about you, making you feel more confident.
