subject: The Nokia X6, Reviewed! [print this page]

There have been claims that the Nokia X6 is the definitive phone for entertainment, and these claims are not far off. Nokia have given the device a monstrous 32GB internal memory, a 5 mega pixel camera, and a 3.2 scratch resistant capacitive touch screen. With all these in the mix plus a bunch of extra goodies, the Nokia X6 could well live up to these claims!

Despite all of the technology and applications Nokia have packed into this handset, they have managed to retain the vintage Nokia style, whilst giving it a very contemporary appearance. The X6 weighs in at just 122g and its slim line physique measures at just 13.8mm, making it an easy and comfortable fit for any hand or pocket.

Not only will you get good image capture with the phones onboard camera but the 5 mega pixel camera which is supported by Carl Zeiss optics also allows you to shoot videos at 30 frames per second, and once you are happy you can cut and edit your work, add and mix music into the footage, then upload the piece to your favourite networking sites for all your friends to enjoy. But if you would prefer to keep your videos and images to yourself, the X6 is well equipped with its bright 3.2 capacitive touch screen, the screen can display up to 16.7million colours via its 360x640 pixel setup and has, like most, a built in accelerometer so your display automatically rotates with your movements.

The Nokia X6 gives you a couple of dedicated tool bars which allow you quicker access to contacts and media. The Contacts Bar gives you an assortment of options when it comes to communication, and shows you various updates and feeds from your favourite social networking sites. The Media Bar organises all of your media into one application, so whether your want to customise your own play list using the OVI media player, edit your own mini movies or just browse for pictures, the Media Bar has it all at the tap of a finger.

With Nokia targeting the X6 at those of you who like entertainment on the go, they installed an extended battery life so you can listen to all of your beloved tunes with the high output built in speakers, or keep it personal with your favourite headphones via the 3.5mm jack.

The Finnish communication giants have given the Nokia X6 the S60 5th Edition operating system, combine this with its Symbian OS v9.4 user interface you have a responsive touch screen device capable of tasking with great speed and functionality. Nokia have also set the handset up with high speed HSDPA for a good 3G coverage and Wi Fi for superior internet browsing.

In an array of candy shop colours the Nokia X6 has many variations in its appearance, combine this with its enormous internal memory and strong links to social networks and impressive entertainment options the Nokia X6 will have no problem competing with other phones of similar specifications in todays market.
