For some people having a normal laptop just isn't good enough, and that's quite understandable. Now however manufacturers are waking up to the fact that people want more exciting designs on their computers, and few look better than a pink laptop.

Many girls and ladies don't care what kind of laptop they have, just as long as it's pink, which is fair enough. But for those who want to know a bit more about what they are buying, all the tech talk can be a bit of a headache. What are the best pink laptops out there? Read on to find out!

Everyone knows Dell, so they are probably the place to start. Offering a range of laptops, you can find a pink one across their entire range. The Dell Mini 10 is their smallest offering and has a 10.1" screen. More of a netbook than a notebook, it's ideal for computing on the go with an Intel Atom processor and loads of battery life. Cute and cheerful best sums up the Mini 10.

Dell's entry level laptop is the Inspiron, which comes with a 15" screen (Inspiron 15) and 17" screen (Inspiron 17). With a range of Intel processors from Celeron to Core 2 Duo, and even the new i series, you can customise the Inspiron to suit your needs. You'll be looking at 300 to 450 for entry level models, but these certainly pack enough of a punch to do a range of tasks on the go, from watching DVDs to office applications and surfing the internet. The Inspiron series are ideal for university students and professionals.

A bit more up market is the Dell Studio, which takes after the Inspiron in sizes- Studio 15 (a 15" screen) and Studio 17 (17" screen). With a shedload of power under the hood and stylish looks, it is really the laptop to go for if you want to use more demanding programmes and games. The Studio comes with the new Intel i series processors (i3, i5 and i7), which offer maximum power. Combined with 2GB of RAM as standard and a 250GB hard disc, you can see why the Studio is a popular choice. The best thing about Dell laptops is that when they say pink, they really mean pink!

The Samsung N130 is definitely a rival to the Dell Mini 10. Featuring a brilliant pink design, it's a striking little netbook that won't let you down. The N130 features a full size keyboard so you won't feel crowded, and with up to 6 hours of battery life and an integrated webcam, you really will be able to look amazing on the go.

Storming into the pink laptop fight is the MSI Wind U100. With slightly better specs than the Samsung N130 and a fantastic range of functions, the U100 certainly shouldn't be ignored. Complete with WIFI, Bluetooth and 2 channel stereo speakers, you'll be able to listen to your favourite music to your heart's content (or at least until the 6.5 hours of battery life ends!).

There's only one word that can describe the Sony VAIO CW1S1EWP, perfection. Possibly the best looking pink laptop available on the market, Sony have really gone to town with the CW1 series. With a 14" screen, 4GB of RAM, an Intel Core 2 Duo processor and a beast of an NVIDIA graphics card, the VAIO exudes power and precision.
