See, I've played the rogue since the good old days of pre-Burning Crusade, back when World of Warcraft was also called "World of Roguecraft" by many players due to rogues being the deadliest most overpowered class in the game. The reason why I tell you rogues are the easiest class to level is because you have certain abilities that enable you to kill mobs in record speed along with the option to disengage combat at any given time.

Assassination: the assassination tree is mainly a dagger tree, it gives you the option to increase your energy by 10 which is a great thing for us rogues. But in reality the assassination tree isn't the correct tree to level with. It is mostly an end-game tree.
Combat: the combat tree in other words turns you into a warrior in leather armor, it is the PERFECT tree to level with because it allows you to go up to a mob and beat it to death using sinister strike in record speed. You have the advantage of not needing to be standing behind your target in order to inflict massive amounts of damage. Therefore you can kill a mob, go right on to the next one and so on..
Subtlety: the subtlety tree is all about survival, this is a crucial tree when it comes down to pvp. The reason why it is so effective in pvp is because you have the ability to burn all your cool downs not once, but TWICE. Yes, preparation resets your cool down timers and that can get you out of any bad situation.
All three trees are AMAZING and they each have advantages over each other, but if you want to level fast I suggest you go combat all the way. After all the most fun is at level 80, specially with all the battlegrounds and end-game instances.
