subject: Brochure Printing With Power Words For Strong Messages [print this page]

When you are commissioning brochure printing, there is one thing that you should always focus on your text. Using the right text will influence whether your brochure printing has a positive or a negative impact on your marketing campaign. One way to ensure you are getting the most out of your text is to utilize the right power words correctly.

Know your power words

Every industry has its own power words. You will need to conduct some research to find out what works best in your industry, as you cannot just randomly add in free or great sale into your brochures and hope for increased sales. Before you do your own brochure printing, take a look at the brochures belonging to the competition. Words like savings, discounts, and affordable can have a much bigger effect on the reader than just sale.

You also will want to consider the proper adjectives. Take a look at car marketing as an example. Pickups are often advertised as being powerful and hardworking, whereas a luxury sports car is often depicted as luxurious or world class. You will want to use the words in your brochure that portray the right image to your readers.

Proper positioning

When you write your text for your brochure printing, you will want to use the power words throughout the brochure in key places. By including these words in a method that stands out, you will find it easier to get your point across.

Follow a Z pattern on the front cover, body, and back of the brochure with the key words. This means using the power words at the beginning of the first sentence at the top of the brochure, somewhere in the middle, and towards the end of the last sentence. This follows the pattern that most people will use when skimming over a brochure.

Use special effects

Another strategy to incorporate during your brochure printing is to take advantage of all the special effects that will make your power words stand out. With the right effects, even less-inspired words like Sale or Free will have more of an effect. Experiment with different fonts, bolding or underlining, different colors, 3D text, and other effects to draw the attention to certain words. When the rest of your text is done in regular printing, readers will automatically be drawn to the words that look different.

Part of taking advantage of special effects also means that you should be creative with the brochure printing materials that you have available. Your printer may offer features like metallic or glitter inks or special coatings that can be used during the brochure printing process to make your brochure stand out even more. By adding in those special details, you will find that your printing is even more successful.

Using power words in brochure printing, and using them in a way that your audience is drawn for them, will allow you to make the most out of your advertising dollars.
