An industry standard flange-compatible speed sensor has been developed for such applications that generates two pulses for each tooth of the wheel. This makes it possible to achieve 600 pulses per revolution with a target wheel module m = 1 and a diameter of 300mm. These speed sensors are currently being tested at a major system integrators.
