subject: Preparation For Iit Entrance Exams [print this page]

IIT is the aim of any engineering student, from the starting point when he or she aims for doing engineering. Indian Institute of Technology, has branches all over the country, still there is very less ratio, of the number of students, which are lucky enough to get themselves enrolled in the most prestigious institute of the country. The number of students sitting for the examination is beyond keeping records, which marks the importance of the college and the demand of the course among the students. The value of a degree from IIT is of high significance all across the globe. The degree can land a student to few of the top most IT companies in the world.

A student from the very starting of the planning of his career frames and structures the steps, which he needs to, cover, for reaching the top most engineering college of the country. Not only the fee of the college is less, but the faculty and the infrastructure are beyond comparison. The quality of education dissemination in IIT, is surely unmatchable and students, actually drop year after year to clear the entrance admission test for IIT. The level and the standard of questions asked at the IIT entrance examination can only be attempted by a student who is above average or possesses great intelligence.

Students generally follow a proper procedure before taking tests for the entrance examination in IIT, they undergo a proper training and learning sessions, which makes them competent enough, to be able to solve the questions of such higher level. Students are seen joining different crash courses, which provide classes, for clearing entrance examinations of IIT. In these classes, the students are made to work on their basics, because it is generally seen, that students tend to mug up things in their school classes. Due to which they are not at all clear with their basics of the subjects like physics, chemistry and maths. PCM, the short form of physics, chemistry & maths are the subjects, and the concept of which the students need to learn by heart.

Students aiming for engineering colleges like IIT, DCE, are advised to join preparatory classes from the very beginning of their senior secondary classes. 11th class is said to be the right time for a student to join preparatory classes, because it is the time, student gets into the main field of the study, where he chooses, what he is going to do in the next step. The course in most of IIT preparation institutes is for 2 years, simultaneously which the student completes his schooling, directly after which he can apply for the entrance test of IIT.

IIT preparation is a very important decision in the life of an engineering student, therefore, choosing the right institute for IIT preparation, has to be done very carefully. Also with the commencement of a number of institutes for the preparation of IIT entrances, students are getting confused over the loyalty and the worth of the institutes to choose. Some of the points, which a student should keep in mind, while choosing a preparatory institute for engineering entrances are:

The name and the popularity of the institute do matter, but a proper research should be done before taking admission in the institute. There are many marketing and PR techniques, by which the students get trapped in the big and fake promises of the institutes, therefore, the student must be smart and intelligent enough to judge the best among hundreds.

The past results of the institute, the number of students from that institute who have been able to clear these major entrances of IIT and DCE, should be kept a record of.

The faculty and the infrastructure of the institute should be checked before taking admission into it.

Thus, by keeping all these points in mind, the student should ensure a smooth and a proper inflow and outflow information in the training session and the entrance examination of engineering respectively.
